Bathroom refit for £3,000....possible?

Have just had a bit of a windfall and wondered if it was possible to get a bathroom done for £3,000.
Needs all the usual, new suite ( happy with fairly basic suite), separate shower, new radiator, tiling etc.
Anyone recommend anyone in south Warwickshire?

Can't recommend anyone but you should get change from £3000 if you are happy with basic suite. I have ordered from Victoria Plumb for bathroom and shower room and been pleasantly surprised by the good quality.

Does the £3000 include the fitting?

Yes, would have to include everything...fitting, tiling etc. Victoria Plumb stuff looks fine and reasonable.
Did that include fitting and tiling Music and Sparkle 9?

we did, but our bathroom was small.

Go to a local independent store, you'll get better value and service than the big chains

How about replacing manky shower cubicle, loo and basin? Tiles (wall and floor)are great but the suite is revolting. Could this be bought and fitted for about £1k?

not sure about fitting but via ebay/google/screwfix I got all equipment including grohe taps for less than £1k ....also local independents can match may negotiate on somethings...

splashed out on decent glue/grout from tile shop as big tiles - our fitter said they were v good quality for the money

• B&Q also have simple mirrored double wall cabinet only £60-70 but don't think its on their website

I took the flooring and tiles off myself to save money. £3k will be fine. My suite came from B&Q and was fitted by an independent.

£3k!!! I bought a suite from local plumbers merchant for £300 and plumber fitted it for £300!

Definitely! Not a top of the range bathroom with jaccuzi and quarry tiles, but a nice basic suite, yes. Including fitting. :)

All done price for both was round the £3000. I actually didn't tile. I just use bathroom paint. Also, as I hate cleaning (and at the risk of outing myself to those who know me) instead of tiling the shower and cheaper than the waterboards I always use cheap vinyl flooring on the walls. Get the whole shower lined for well under £100 and no maintenance.

Good god, we've just had a couple of quotes all around the £10,000 mark! Don't need/want a top of the range suite but do need a shower cubicle as well as a bath, and had been quoted for full tiling and floor, but still seems over the top!

we did it for 3k, top of the range suite, shower, tiles, plastering, electrics, lights, fan, flooring, ceiling (plastic so no mould! ever!) new window.

suite cost £1900
fitting cost £1500 plus £250 for new window, £90 for ceiling fan with spot light and £50 for 3 other spots.

not in your area though - source your suite at a local tradesmans and then phone your local kitchen suppliers for numbers of local fitters, our fitter can do everything, kitchens, bathrooms - thats how we got the number.

10k! That's crazy money. About 6 years a go I bought a suite for £200 from the iron mongers extra £100 for taps. Fitted for £100 and £50 on tiles which I did myself. It looked great and was all I could afford.

Just done some tiling here and got floor done professionally with fab tiles for £250. 3k sounds plenty

Ours is almost finished. 1500 for suite. 500 for tiles (wall and floor). 1300 for labour. 365 for electrics. 450 for materials.
