Hello, I'm looking for a bit of advice please. The house we've just bought has planning permission for a 2 storey extension. The downstairs part would be an extension off the kitchen to create a dining room. Where the extension will go, the kitchen currently has an external wall with a window in it. When the extension is built this will become an internal wall, separating the kitchen from the new dining room. The plans which have been approved show the window will be removed and replaced with a doorway. However, we'd actually like to remove the whole wall to create an open plan kitchen/diner. I know we'd need a structural engineer's report and building regs to do this, but do we need to apply for an amendment to the planning permission? I know that, ordinarily, removing an internal load-bearing wall needs building regs approval but not PP.
Many thanks in advance for any help!
