Anyone bought/sold property with free solar panels installed?

Was it a nightmare?

We had free solar panels installed last year - the rent a roof, fit and forget variety which have actually benefitted us (but will moreso benefit the installation company Grin )

Anyway, its a 25 year lease and we now have to sell up pretty quickly for various reasons.

Will it be a pain to sell? Are mortgage companies steering clear of houses with these installed due to the lengthly leases?

Hi MykelH, my father in law has recently passed away and we are looking to either rent or sell the property could you forward me a copy of the lease?

What happens if one householder is deceased and the spouse is living in care and the property needs to be sold please.
The purchaser has been informed he will not get a mortgage with the panels on the roof

@Bebe2010 you need to start a new thread or everyone will just reanswer the original question and you won't get your question answered.

Ty .I was hoping that the person from solar company would see it.

@Bebe2010 If you have power of attorney you can contact the leasing company for the panels and ask for further lease details.

Thank you. Sadly, they are quite useless, have been all along with communication and saying that they have to stay on building for 25 years. Just wondering if there is a way out.
