Best kitchen flooring?

Cream kitchen with solid oak worktops.

I am considering the following options:

Karndean wood effect
Solid oak
Quick step oak laminate (not cheap)

Too cold for tiles....

The flooring has to continue down the hallway so I like laminate for practicality...

karndean and the wood effect gets my vote

Don't like laminate for kitchens (actually, I'm not that keen on laminate anywhere...). Our laminate floor is wrecked, warped and rotten, mainly due to washing machine leakages. I don't know if this is less likely with more expensive laminates - I think ours was probably cheap as it is hugely ugly.

I'd be reluctant to have wood too for the same reason. What is the Karndean made of?

Tiles with underfloor heating then oak in the hallway. Grin

Karndean. It won't get ruined if you spil water on it, isnt cold underfoot, really hardwearing compared to wood or laminate.
