All Electric with storage heating? What are your bills like?

Currently live in 2 bed with gas heating and cooking and have average bills of £100 per month combined - roughly 75% gas and 25% electric.

What are yours like in an all electric property?

Especially anyone who has had a winter bill - would be really helpful - thanks

Ours was about the same, with storage heaters.

Thanks Mrsladybirdface - that's not so bad then.

MoneySavingExpert.com have just started an Energy Club.
If you register with them (no charge) and give them your details (what tarrif you're on, who your supplier is, how you pay your bills, your annual energy consumption etc etc), they will look to see if you could get a better deal by switching suppliers.
It may be worth looking at this to see if you can save a bit on your energy bill if this is doable for you.

We pay £150 and are freezing for half the day

Cheers noddyholder - is that because the storage heaters 'run out of steam'?

How many hours do you get decent heat before they start to fade?

They start to fade about 2pm and by 4 are really cold. I have an extra heater on just to top up. Also think the water heater is quite expensive. We are moving in a few weeks and I am so relieved as I am finding these inefficient in the cold weather.
