How much would removing two walls cost?

We want to remove a supporting wall so need a beam/RSJ, and another non-supporting wall. Both are around 2m long.

are you asking how much to remove 2 walls or how much for a rsj or both or have you decided you need a rsj to remove wall(use as demolition tool?), and the non supporting wall ? has it got a walk on part in this somewhere? and off the 3, which are 2m in length? this is my type of question !

I'd expect to pay about £1500, including about £200 of building regs fees for structural wall.

I'm very confused!
Thanks Porkster. I mm trying to work out if we can afford to take down these two walls and put in a new kitchen before involving architects etc. we're getting a quote from a kitchen design company next week and need to prepare DH for the worst!

If you are removing a structural wall (and intend to move house at any point) you will need to show that it was compliant with the building regs.

You can however, do this retrospectively, but you would need to have evidence of pier sizes, rsj sizes, maybe calculations - so you might as well do it the proper way now.

We will do it properly, because I'm a scaredy cat!
