At the moment we have F&B Old White on the walls, which is clearly not white at all. The room is sludgy and gloomy and dark.
We only really use it in the evenings. It's a Victorian bay-windowed front room, faces north-west. We have a black slate fireplace and this sort of sofa (in the same colour).
I'd like to create a really simple white room but I don't want it to be stark - it needs to be warm whites that go with the aspect and the darkness of the fireplace/sofa. I like this and this and this.
Sort of think it should be a lighter white on the walls with a slightly contrasting darker neutral on the woodwork. Possibly Pointing on the walls and Skimming Stone for the woodwork...
Has anyone used this combination before or can you recommend a scheme that would work in this situation?
