What's on your hall table?

That's it, really. I have a lovely new light oak console table in the hall. Pre-dc I would have put a vase on there but 3 small people would now make short work of knocking it off.

Any ideas? Want it to look nice for selling house soon.

You could put a plastic playmobile or lego vase Wink

I did have a nice red begonia plant in a sturdy wide based pot but it's been killed off by the cold snap & a few days with no heating.

Currently mine has my handbag, a family photo, vase of flowers -DDs have never knocked it over. If you are trying to sell should you have fresh baked bred and fresh brewed coffee.

Phone and a basket full of various hats, gloves and dog leads. I don't think I'm exactly what you are looking for!

I'm no help we have an embarrassing amount of school art work and post on our hall table Blush

Biorb fish tank, a small wooden box, a phone and a posh chocolate truffle box we use for collecting copper coins. The fish tank is heavy so doesn't move.

4 pairs of gloves, 3 candles in holders, 2 hats for DDs, dog lead and a load of leaflets that came through the door. I am slovenly!

Cock, just typed a big reply and phone lost it.

Rofling at lego vase and putting fresh bread and coffee out for potential buyers on there Grin.

Killed a lovely poinsettia on there with the letterbox draft recently but hardier plant in heavy pot is a good idea. And museum putty - MNers always know about the good stuff.

Much cheered by your normal hall tables and not intimidated by minimalist arrangements like in magazines. Thanks folks.

lol I think the bread baking is just for the smell, though you could lay out some bread and see if anyone takes some. Grin When we were viewing houses, a couple of them did the break baking trick. It made me smile. It does help the atmosphere.

Phone, lamp, greeny-blue dish and a greeny-blue candle holder/hurricane lamp thingie.

Sometimes DH dumps things there but they get moved pretty quick. I find if I keep the hall tidy I feel the whole house looks tidy!
