Farrow & Ball paint - advice needed

Im currently looking at the Farrow & Ball paint chart and any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Looking to paint our son's room White so we can accessorise and change as he gets older. ANy comments on Pointing or Great White as dont want it to look too cold?

Also thinking of having the White company look for the bedroom so thinking Cornforth White as did like Pavilion Grau but not sure if its too dark?.

Also need a soft browny colour for the lounge. Is Elephants breath more Grey than Brown? or perhaps Bone.

Happy to get some testers but some advice first would be great before I spend a small fortune doing it!

Are you set on using F&B? If not then maybe try little Greene paint co. I used to love F&B colours and still find they have a good palatte but switched to little Greene and have been v pleased with results. They have varying shades of same colour so you can find right tone. Recently used French grey (mid) for our bathroom and love it! Could be used for a DS bedroom. The paint tends to go a long way too and decorators have been more impressed using it than F&B.

Nothing special about Farrow and Ball unless there is a colour you particularly like, that you can't match elsewhere.

Do you have an F&B shop near you? It's a really good way to get advice and see the colours together. They use painted boards and you can lay the out. We gave up on testers.

Pointing is warm and lovely or Wimborne White. And Shaded White is great.

thanks very much everyone. No im not set on F&B just their paint chart I happened to pick up and compared to Dulux its easier. Far too many colours going on.
Very difficult to see what suits but there is a stockist near so i'll go down there and take a look.

Wimborne white is a lovely shade - not stark, but quite warm. It looks really nice on the walls & gives a lovely coverage

Also speak to an independent paint shop. We have one that colour matches all brands of paint and you can have various bases - i.e. the chalkiness of FB ( which is oddly enough the cheapest base the shop does).

It's a cheaper option. I have FB in one room and the colour/base match in another and you cannot tell.

We recently painted our sitting room and dining room in Pointing (we were being safe, as it's sort of open plan and quite small). It's a lovely, soft, creamy white - but it's not actually cream - and it's warm, and bright without being glaring. Wimborne White is great too, but brighter and cooler.

I think pointing and Wimborne then for the White paint - thank you.

Anyone any ideas for browns as in different lights they look different. Off White seems to have a Brown tinge?

I've used shaded white in quite a few rooms - its lovely, I used with Paint and Paper library Slate 1 oil eggshell for woodwork which gives a good contrast but not stark white - and they still do oil based paints which I like. I've also used bone which is greener, but still lovely, just darker.
