I am looking at a house and it will need extending to be suitable. I don't have a big budget so am looking at a limited market.
A house we are considering is on a main road, not ideal, is detached so that makes up for the main road. It is dated except a pretty standard small bathroom of the late 90's, early 00's or a basic set from B&Q.
The 70's kitchen is tiny and I would want to extend. It is wide and narrow. About 3.8m wide and 3m long. I think you can extend 4m out. I could build the outside wall out a bit so internally the walls would match minus the lumps that would stick out to support the building and the RSJ bit. So a 4 x 4m extention.
The garden is west facing.
The area is the midlands.
I am guessing it is about £1000 pm2? and the cost of decorating, flooring and a kitchen?
I would go for two sets of double glazed doors, west and south facing and a window north facing.
Porceline tiles.
Solid wood units and get a joiner to make them. I would pain myself. About 2.5m run of lower units doubled and on the other side the same length of run ceiling to floor to include a unit to fit a double electric oven.
What do you think of the plan and cost.
I will walk away if it wont be worth the work.
