Painting pine chest with Annie Sloan paint...

Haven't used it before. Apparently you can paint right onto the waxed pine without sanding?

The pine is a blanket box, it's not heavily waxed but definitely waxed at some point in the past. I'm thinking an undercoat and two coats of paint, will it work out ok?

Any advice?

I would just give it a quick dust then paint the annie Sloan paint straight on.I have found generally one coat is enough
The paint is very thick and sometimes I even water it down.
Then seal with annie Sloan wax or beeswax even
Easiest best ever paint!

Putting a undercoat on is defeating the purpose of ASCP. It's fab stuff and no need for undercoat unless you want to have a distressed finish with one colour under the other.

Just go for it, really. Smile
