Roman and roller blinds in same room? A no no?

We've got a large L-shaped kitchen diner - about 20ft ish in length.

At one end is the kitchen with a window above the sink.

At the other, is where the dining table is (on the 'L' part), is 3 windows.

I originally thought roller blinds for their practicality (we are messy cooks!), but have sort of fallen in love with romans.

Would it look really bad to have a plain white roller blind above the sink, then at the other end of the kitchen (the dining area), to have 3 white (with pattern on) roman blinds?

I can't decide without seeing it and really struggling to visualise it in my head! Whether it will look good, or just really crap!

Any thoughts appreciated.
Thanks

how about fitting the roller into the recess and then completely hide the blind behind a small, stiff pelmet (not a valance) that fits flush to the recess. this will mimic the look of the roman blinds when they are up and make the roller look "smarter" and tie the two areas together as the same fabric would be used for the roman blinds and the pelmet.
I realise that the word "pelmet" is forbidden, but if this is done carefully it could work.

7to25 thank you for posting.
I'm such a novice at these things and rubbish with deciding (I won't reveal how long I've been mulling these over and trying to find nice looking roller blinds!), but wouldn't a pelmet be quite traditional looking? I'm not sure I can think how it would then tie the two areas together? They would still look different wouldn't they?

Apologies for my probably very stupid questions and thank you for taking the time to post.

I've ordered these as samples (first one I'm not sure would 'match' with a white roller). We've got pale grey cupboards and oak worktop / floor.

I've also ordered these as roller blind samples ...

I just want to try to get these at least ordered before christmas (I've given up hope of actually getting them in time for the big day!).

Any advice or thoughts really appreciated. Thank you

I like the grande stripe in both; but obviously don't know what the rest of the room is like.
You can get a local curtain maker to make roman blinds in any fabric and possibly advise you on the other window treatments in the room. The mocha floral designs you have picked out look a bit "of the moment" and could date pretty quickly, but obviously I haven't seen the room.
