How much for outdoor sensor lights and moveable thermostat?

I have had quotes from a plumber and electrician we have used once before each. Haven't really got time to shop around for quotes so just wanted to check if these sounded about right.

The plumber quoted to fit a portable thermostat, if that's the right term, as we have no thermostat at the moment just TRVs. He quoted to £150ish to supply and fit. Does this sound about right?

Electrican has quite regarding our outside lights. We have one se on either side of the front door which we want to get put on a sensor. We also want a sensor light putting up at the front of the house (our front door is on the side). He has quoted £100 to s&f a sensor light and to install a sensor to the existing front door lights. This seems quite pricey to me as I can't imagine it would take very long and I've seen sensor lights in b&q for around £30.

Incidentally we have a sensor light to the front of the house which doesn't work at the moment so if he gets a bulb for that and it works it would be £75 to replace the bulb (and not install a new light) and to fit the new sensors.

Thanks.

I should think you will have a wireless thermostat installed, which does not mean drilling into walls and have a wire connected to the boiler.
I had a wireless one - Honeywell- and it is transportable to any room you want. 4 years ago it cost £85, and the sensor has to be drilled into wall next to boiler and the wire attached to boiler. So £150 sounds reasonable for that.
No idea about the sensor lights, but can't you try changing that bulb yourself?

We also have a Honeywell wireless thermostat which is fully programmable. I fitted it, which wasn't a big task so £150 would be very reasonable... assuming it is the fully programmable one and not just a standard wireless thermostat with no programmes.

Sounds good to me.

Thanks all,I don't know what brand it is so I will check that out.

Regarding the sensor light,it is really high up on an outside wall. We don't have a ladder big enough and I am 8.5 months pregnant so wouldn't want to be climbing that high anyway. DH wouldn't be able to change a bulb in a bedside lamp!

Thanks.

£150 is reasonable for the thermostat. We just bought one with our boiler and it cost £120 just for the equiptment.

I have no idea about the sensor lights sorry!
