matt vs gloss tiles

i'm rather taken with these for a very small ensuite. I know gloss will be more reflective and maybe make the room look bigger, but there is no hiding the fact that this room is teeny tiny. Will these be more of a pain to keep looking good than something gloss. They are available in gloss.

But if everyone things matt is a mistake I think I will go for this instead. Views?

Oh, they're for the walls BTW. The sink and WC and shower tray are white, shower screen glass / chrome and will do the floor in a funky coloured rubber like this in jade maybe.

Definately prefer the matt ones, and I like that flooring too. Nice choice.

We have matt 100x100 on 3 walls around our bath up to the top of the shower screen level. I like the way that the matt doesnt show water marks or limescale like gloss does.

I have the metro tiles, v. Easy to maintain. Had mosaic in previous house, nightmare to clean.

Oh but i dont think the tiler liked them much. He managed to leave a scuff with his scraper when applying the grout - having said that it has come off with water over time but might be worth using white/light coloured tools.

I like both options. Can you grout up a sheet of the matt tiles and see how easy there are to clean? I would imagine they would be ok though.

Good idea. I might try that. Thanks for all your thoughts. I did get a but over excited when i saw that I could have the mosaic ones for less than the metro ones were at wickes. Grin

I love glossy floor tile but have been told that it could be too slippery. After investigating on the internet, I found several products that can be put on the tile that makes it non slip and does not affect the shine. Does anyone have any experience with this??
