We are in the process of doing up a small garden office. It has a damp proof membrane in the concrete floor, but is not particularly well insulated and has single glass windows. It tends to get a little damp. We would like to put down some new flooring over the concrete base floor, but are not sure about which type to go for: laminate, vinyl, tiles? I am sure all have their advantages. We would have loved to go with a(n engineered) wood floor, but think that due to moisture and cold it will probably warp. It would also be good if the floor was washable, as I am expecting muddy feet etc.
I am feeling a little overwhelmed by the options, and am a bit puzzled by the description sometimes: like, how can a floor be water resistant but not washable, or not suitable for use in splash areas??
Any one any advice?
