Would it look odd to put a free standing bath into a corner?

The long side will need to be up against a wall and so will pne of the short sides. Will this just look strange?

i assume you mean a sort of victorian iron bath with dragon's feet.

will be very difficult to clean behind it. It will not seal to the wall.

You can buy them which have a flat side so they can butt up to a wall

I've seen the ones with a flat side but I need two flat sides if you see what I mean. Otherwise my options seem to be a corner bath (which is what we are getting rid of so really don't want this) or else to put the free standing bath at an angle in the corner which will still give us cleaning difficulties.

I only have 1600mm to play with

Nah, I've rented two houses with baths like this and I didn't think it looked strange at all. It was a bit of a pain to clean around, but you soon get used to it. But I'll always take a freestanding bath over a fitted one!
