Is F&B really worth the extra £££????

I know this has been done to death, but is it worth the extra? Is it?

Dulux endurance matt £25.98

Laura Ashley matt £26

F&B estate emulsion £32.50

The guy I've got coming in to decorate our bedroom says he thinks it is. He reckons F&B & Laura Ashley are infinitely better than Dulux paints. But B&Q have a 3for2 offer on paint at the moment, which would make the Dulux (or similar) even cheaper!

Ordered a few £1 Dulux testers online before I spoke to decorator, so don't want to go and spend a load on F&B testers unnecessarily.

Aaaarggggh! Opinions please!

Yes, definitely worth it, so much nicer to paint with and a nice finish.

We used Laura Ashley in our bedroom and it was rubbish compared to Fired Earth (which has similar pricing to F&B). It needed two and a bit coats for a pale colour going onto a pale wall. First coat looked really patchy. Fired Earth needed one coat and a bit of touching up in a dark colour going onto a pale wall. So if F&B is anything like Fired Earth, yes it is worth it.

I did f&b colour match with Johnstones paint at Brewers. Painted several cards and could not tell the difference. IMO dulux has a different finish but I got a similar finish by colour matching.
