Sorry - have had a read through past threads but can't find answers... please could I have some thoughts on- corner 'pantries' vs pull-out larders

We're fitting a new kitchen into our new house...dimensions 3.5m x4.5m. We've appointed a designer who's suggesting an L-shaped kitchen. I've asked about fitting a corner 'pantry' rather than a corner cupboard with carousel...does anyone have experience of this? I found this one on line small kitchen pantry

sigh... i'm tired of thinking about this but can't seem to let it go! the designer didn't like the idea at all. though i don't know why. can someone knock the idea down for me please? or is it not entirely stupid?

I have just had a L shape kitchen fitted and I looked at loads of corner solutions - The corner larders I have seen take up allot of space and as a short arse I just couldn't reach some of the shelves

If I had gone with a modern kitchen I would have had one of these

and on eon the bottom - by far the best corner solutions I have found - just not keen on the look

I havent had a pull out or a corner larder but my instinct is that I'd prefer a corner larder with fixed shelves.
If there is room you could have a small stool/mini step ladder in there to reach the higher shelves.
The pull out larders I have tried (in friends' houses) have all seemed a bit wobbly and the contents seem precarious.

Pull out larders are ok in the smaller sizes 300/400 the bigger ones unless very expensive are wobbly - I have just had floor to cealing cupboards and it takes my brooms and ironing board. the 'wall' space I have left I'm doing a family planning :P area on calender, chalk board, letter holder and a small kitchen trolly to give me a bit of moveable worksurface and extra draws and wine rack
My friend has had a little step built in to her larder and it is handy but it just takes up alot of space for the size but I think that does depend on you actual lay out!!

I like that one in the OP if you had the space. I guess it wastes as much space as it saves so would only work in a big kitchen. The door opening in front of the worktop would get on your nerves. YOu can have pull-out larders but keep the large door as a cupboard and make each indivual shelf a pull-out drawer. Much more stable and very easy to see everything you have in front of you

If you could get one custom build a rounded front with a sliding door would be fab !!! As Swedish Edith says the doors are a pain - my friend's is in a huge farmhouse kitchen and is plastered on the outside and in its own corner if you know what I mean rather than in a run of cabinets

thanks very much... like the idea of a lrage pullout larder keeping drawers in the cupboard.

thanks again for all the ideas.
