Anyone know anything about lino? How do you get it up?

It looks like I have a small leak in the bathroom somewhere (plaster cracks in kitchen ceiling underneath and what's looks like the start of a small water mark). Is there anyway of getting the bathroom lino up to have a look without trashing it (it's not very old, I quite like it and I can't really afford a new floor!)? I read somewhere that lino is glued down usually. I've had a go at trying to peel corners away but no luck! Am I stuffed?

My lino isn't glued down, but the stuff in the bathroom has clear sealant around the edges. If there's no visible sealant around your bathroom edge, try just pulling the lino up, you'll soon see if there's glue or not.

Lino isn't usually expensive, if you live up north you can have the rest of mine (about 3m by 3m)

Thanks. I have sealant round the edges so have picked it away but still can't seem to peel lino back. Might be that I just can't get a proper grip rather than it being stuck. Will have another go.

Not up north I'm afraid, but thanks for the offer!

We had lino stuck all over a wood floor. We got it up by ironing it over several layers of newspaper to melt the glue - the whole floor was glued.
