Please HELP!!!!!

I have a high gloss handleless cream kitchen arriving on friday but i still have no idea what worktop to go for!!!
I decided to go for cream instead of white as i didnt want it to look too clinical and its quite a big kitchen.
However in my head i always wanted a quartz starlight worktop in black ( its the one with all flecks and shiny bits in it). But now Im worried black would look to harsh against cream. It looks lovely with white and now i regret going cream instead of white.
Everyone says to go for a brown worktop or wood effect or even solid wood but i really want black.
Has anyone got a high gloss cream kitchen with a black worktop and does it look nice?
Any ideas would be welcome.
Thanks

I was going to say the quartz or granite in black, it looks stunning with cream.

I think black would look good - black with white is a bit harsh / 80s, but black with cream should look quite smart I would think. What's the floor?

Maybe a dark cream laminate floor that looks like large tiles. Taverine i think its called.
I was hoping in inject some colour with the material for the blinds and the paint.

Its the worktop that's loosing me sleep though!!
All these decisions cost lots of money and so worried i will get it wrong.

Honed Nero Impala would look good. With the gloss cupboards I don't think you need more shine on the work top so a smooth honed finish would look smarter I think. Also polished black reflects the undersides of your wall cabinets....

Cashmere from caesarstone is nice with cream or if your really wanting a black but not to harsh look at technistone black slate
honed will work also but also depends on how you feel about wiping down tops.

I find think solid black with cream would look too hard (but still lovely) , but a warm black would look better. You can get some lovely dark granites. Something like this or this, top picture.

If you want to look at granite then the ranges kept by kitchen showrooms are usually much smaller than those kept by specialist granite companies. I went to a huge warehouse when I chose my granite work tops. There were literally hundreds of different types to choose from.

Thanks for all your advice and ideas.
Kitchen here in 2 days!!! Still fell no closer to picking a worktop. Think i need a trip round a few kitchen showrooms.

I think either dark blue or black with speckles as you've described would look good.
