Is Elephants Breath a bit "late nineties"?

Hello,

sorry a letter isn't workin on my keyboard - hope you can work out what im tryin to say!

I've just done a tester of Elephants breath for our bedroom, it was suested by the irl in F&B, as she did a match on my ensuite tile with Skimmin.

I'm a little worried about EB because althouh I love the colour, it seems very dark, in our quite dark bedroom (in the eaves, never ets any sun), and well, i'm not sure if riee is well a bit dated...

Any colour experts have a view??

thank you!

Well I can work out it's the g which isn't working!

But I have no idea what elephant's breath is. What have I missed?!

Sorry Farrow and Ball...

Grey paints are still quite fashionable if you have a look on interiors magazines and websites.

I hope it isn't - I use it a lot, seems to work whatever the orientation or dimensions of the room, I love it.

I think the trick to keeping it updated is which accent colours you put with it. If you stick to the neutral/Kelly Hoppen look, it will look old hat. If you put vibrant rich tones with it - garnet/burnt orange/raspberry/lime, and some pattern, it will bring it up to date.

I've seen a few pictures on pinterest with grey walls and bright yellow accents which looks very up to date.

Those colours are everywhere I used them lots in the late 90s early 00s I do think colour is back and pure white always looks lovely if you accessorise it well.I am viewing houses atm and I am fed up with the sludgey colours as people are putting them everywhere in the wrong houses.

Chartreuse chalky white violet and very pale chalky pinks and blues are very popular. Travertine and stone colours are very dated looking. And grey was v fashionable 4/5 years ago and now a bit b and q.

I wouldn't call myself a "colour expert" but I have just used Elephant's Breath in my study and it looks fabulous with antique oak furniture. It's a small room with a small window so not much natural light, but it looks and feels very warm and cosy. The colour seemed dark when it went on but now that it's finished I love it.

Borrowed Light is beautiful - we have it in our bedroom. We have also plumped for Slipper Satin in other rooms.

I love Elephant's Breath but don't think it's suited for a small dark bedroom. It looks great in a large room flooded with light though! I have it throughout my kitchen/dining/family open plan space.

noddyholder has just broken my heart.
