Lighting in new extension - Help!

Apparently in our new extension 75% of the fittings (not the bulbs) have to be low energy - the buzzwords seem to be 'part L compliant'. Where on earth can I find decent looking fittings - all the normal places I would buy fittings don't stock such things and the only one's I've seen are very utilitarian and ridiculously expensive.

Any ideas?

What is the room to be used for

My DH has become disabled and we needed level access, so have knocked down half the house! New extension has kitchen, computer room (ie dh's toys!), bedroom, wet room.

LED fittings comply. The downlighters can be used in the kitchen and wetroom, and also as under-cabinet lighting for the kitchen wall cabinets. Unless the regs have changed, anything which can be plugged in is exempt which means you can have a 5-amp circuit with all your table and floor lamps plugged into it, which might be an option for the bedroom unless you need bright light. In which case go back to LED downlighters.

Also, check out Astro for lots of choice in low-energy fittings.
