Oil or water based eggshell for doors/skirting?

Am sitting in a paint shop in a fluster!
Going for little greene "shirting". Do I go for oil or water based eggshell for doors and skirting? Going for absolute Matt on walls, v low sheen level
Which looks better any idea??

What have you got on them already, because going over oil based with water based won't stick very well. Looks wise about the same really but the water based a bit less shiny.

Thanks for reply. New skirting boards completely they will have primer on.
It's a Victorian terrace.

I would probably go for water based then Smile

Oops bought oil! It's little Greene though which is meant to be excellent at eggshell.

Do all oil based whites go yellow over time? Do water based paints for wood stay white?

Sorry for hijacking op.

Yes they do I have been doing my research recently as I am desperate for a non yellowing gloss! There is a certain brand which doesn't go yellow as quick but the name escapes me at the moment. There is some rule about contents of oil based paint and that is why it now yellows. I believe water based do stay white though (happy to be corrected though).

Sikkens oil based eggshell doesn't go yellow. Don't know about their gloss though.

Water based stay white but are less hard wearing and more likely to flake. Also more of a bugger to apply properly.

the low-VOC white oil paints all go yellow if they are not exposed to sunlight (a window will do)

The new Dulux Trade Gloss in tins with blue lids is their revised formulation which is supposed to resist yellowing.
