Leasehold nightmare- what should I do?

Soo everything is done for our move the final thing we need is the license to assign the lease to the people buying our flat. However, the managing agent and freeholder are at odds as to the format for the license and neither is prepared to budge.

We have signed the managing agents version, and it has been sent to the freeholder for approval. They have asked for clarification on a number of points and for the license to be in a different form. The managing agents are refusing to budge and now just trying to force their hand by saying that if they don't approve we will take them to tribunal (although of course if it came to that our chain would fall apart)

Any ideas as to how I can get them to budge? They have long running political issues which I don't care about I just need that flipping license or everything is going to go to pot.

Feeling really desperate so any ideas welcome!

Aren't the agents acting on behalf of the Freeholder ?? Sorry, I'm a bit confused...

Well the right to manage company, but from what my soliton says both the managing agent and freeholder need to sign it off so we can't just go round the managing agents. Grrrrr this is such a headache.

No the managing agents are acting on behalf of the right to manage company (the residents association) I have ied getting the head of the residents association to force the managing agents hand but they are just not interested.

Thanks Smalltown I will call them in the morning. It's just horrid these people have the power to scupper our move over nothing, it's just admin to them but it's everything to us :(
