Online Estate agents - has anyone used one? Can you recommend them?

A poster on another thread kindly pointed me in the direction of online estate agencies - a great idea IMO!

Has anyone here ever used oneof them? There seem to be a fair few out there, I'm trying to pick one and would really appreciate any recommendations (or advice to beware!)

TIA :)

Conveyancing is totally separate and in general, online conveyancers (which are usually cheaper than your local solicitor) are pretty pants, so that's probably the reason for the bad reviews. I've only got good things to say about Housenetwork - bought through them a year ago and found the customer (buyer) experience so much more professional than any normal estate agents (who didn't return calls, cancelled viewings without telling me etc).

And as for estate agents having a 'book' of buyers, well that is bollocks! We are in rented, cash buyers and looking to move to a specific village and despite 'registering' our details with all local estate agents and phoning regularly to remind them of us, STILL the first we see of a new property in our area and meeting our criteria is our RightMove alert!!
