Vinyl on top of tiles

How do I go about this? Is it possible/advisable?

We moved in a year ago while I was heavily pregnant and already had a toddler. The bathroom is very cold, not helped by the tiled floor. Haven't had the energy to think about it much til now, but don't have any money to do much. We've got some leftover vinyl from our last house which might just cover it.

What do you advise?

It's doable we've got vinyl on top of our tiles in our kitchen and bathroom. Don't know how you do it yourself though we had people in to do ours.

The floor has to be very flat for vinyl. I've had it put down in previous houses on cement and wood. I think you need to ask a floor shop, and go for a high quality one which is very cushioned, so I think it depends on the quality of the one you already have.

We got the tiles skimmed as they were uneven. Then put vinyl on top. Much warmer

As I suspected. Not really doable with no money.

The tiles are bumpy, not flat, and don't have the cash to get someone in to lift them or skim over them.

DH and I are mediocre at best when it comes to diy. Will just have to save up and freeze in the meantime.

Since the vinyl is essentially free do you think it's worth just having a go at cutting it to fit and sticking it down temporarily just to warm it up or am I being ridiculously optimistic of the outcome.

I would give it a go. If it looks terrible you can just throw it away.
