Sealing stone floors

Hello, I am hoping someone can help. We have ufh and stone floors on top. I think we need to seal the floor, no? If so, what do we use and does it matter that there is heat coming from beneath the stones?

Sorry to sound so clueless Blush, I know I need to do something, but not sure what. And the bastard builder is not returning my calls

You will need to seal the stone to stop it from being porous (absorbing stains and water). When I used natural stone in my old kitchen I bought some stuff from topps tiles which you sort of painted on the tiles (before fitting, but I guess you could do it afterwards). I would warn you that I have natural stone in the bathrooms of my current house and the previous owners clearly didn't seal it - there are stains from toothpaste and cleaning products all over them. Try calling a tile specialist for some advice if your builder is proving elusive!

Lithofin is the main specialist product for this but all different types so think you need to get advice from the stone suplier about which exact one you need. Alternatively Lithofin helpline may help?

Oh great, thanks both of you. Will call Lithofin first and take it from there
