Builder has advised that this is suitable for my budget. Anyone with any experience please?
Thanks.

We have a Howdens kitchen and are delighted with it.
It has been in for 5 years now and still in perfect condition. It is the Glendevon white, if they still sell that one.

We've got one and love it.

DH days they are good and very durable, but to also check Magnet kitchens.
DH is a kitchen fitter Wink

We've got the Newport (shaker style) in white. Love it, and would hate to leave it if we sell. We had a builder friend who fitted it for us, with built in d/washer and w/machine. We have had one problem with a drawer but can't find the part to fix it. Howden's told us to get in touch with the manufacturer! That was about 2 years ago, and we still haven't got round to it.

Had ours in last year. The appliances are good value. Kitchen units average, wish we could have afforded the one i liked more.

I put one in my flat and it was great, we have since moved but there were no problems at all.

I bought it on a friend's account who is 'in the trade' and after we took back the left over bits (except emergency spares) they refunded about £100. I was pretty impressed as I would have taken it to the tip Blush

The only issue was that we lived in a first floor flat and the guy who came to deliver was expecting some help at our end but I was home alone and not about to start lugging stuff! I guess this is because they are more trade based but it wasn't a massive problem - well not for me anyway Grin

Thank you, all. It's very reassuring.
We're having the Burford cream with a black worksurface.

Babylon We looked at Magnet. No, we tried to look at Magnet, but people were pushy so we gave up.

Hope they are good, ours is being fitted in two weeks! They've been great so far with the design and planning though....

My DH fitted the Burford cream one in my mum's house a couple of years ago and it still looks like new! Very impressed with it :)

All builders like to use howlers as they come ready assembled as opposed to most being flat packed. My sil had a quote from howden ans one from b and q. B and q was £900 cheaper because it is flat packed. I use howdens regularly and have always been pleased with the quality.

Meant howdens

I am currently sitting in my 9 month old Howdens kitchen (Glendavon white gloss). Very pleased with it. Was the same price as Wickes. Magnet was £££ more for practically the same product as far as I could tell. Builder also liked being able to just pop back into the warehouse if there were any extra bits we needed (rather than the 6 week order time for B&Q / Homebase / Wickes type places).

It seems pretty sturdy so far - I think the real test is if it's still great in 10 years time.

If you search the archives on here there are loads and loads of threads about kitchen companies, including Howdens, and I couldn't find anyone who didn't like their Howdens kitchen or had any complaints about the company. So that's partly why we went with them.

We also got our engineered wood floor from there too.

ONly thing I'm not that impressed with is the integrated washing machine...
