Where can I find someone to buy my house?

It really is lovely, just too small for us to have another baby whilst we live here.

Our second set of buyers in a fortnight have just pulled out. And someone in a better position has made an offer on the house I've fallen in love with we were going to buy.

I am much in need of Wine

I feel your pain. We've outgrown our house too, it's been on the market for almost a year, reduced it twice and no offers. People are viewing but all the feedback is that it's too small. It's a 2 bed mid terraced and I get the impression that viewers are waiting to see if we've hidden a third bedroom somewhere or if we've deglected to tell them about a separate dining room. If it's not on the floor plan people it ain't gonna be in the house Angry

Where oh where are the eager first time buyersSad

Feel your pain. We've been on 4 months. Had 4 viewers in that time and 3 offers. 1st offer then had their mortgage rejected, 2nd offer was so far below hr value and was only £2k more than what we owe so we wouldn't have had any cash left to buy another home, 3rd offer pulled out as the bedrooms shrunk. The other viewer that didn't make an offer did like the house but it was too big! Gah too big, too small what chance have we got. Our house is really nice (honestly Grin and is perfect for a family but we have to relocate otherwise we would not be selling. We're now thinking about staying put and overpaying the mortgage instead so we build up more equity and my dh will continue his long commute. Not ideal but we're losing so much on what we paid (25-30%) and agent doesn't think we'll get any better than the crap offer we already rejected from 2nd viewers. Nice to have an agent who fills you with doom and gloom Sad

We also lost the house we fell in love with whilst offer number 1 were messing us about. We stopped looking at houses after that as it's just too depressing and if an estate agent gets so much as a whiff that you might be interested in their property they hound you for constant updates on how your own house is proceeding. Don't need that when you're sitting waiting for the phone to ring about your own house

Thank you for your replies, it's nice to not feel like the only one...

The first buyer pulled out because they decided they couldn't afford to convert the loft.

The second offer was 70k below what our house was originally valued at. We only accepted it because I we like the other house so much. This buyer has pulled out because their son lives nearby and has said he doesn't want them "this close" Hmm

It just feels like we can't even give the place away.
