I live opposite a building site. They are turning up at 7.30 every morning including Saturdays & this is expected to go on for 2 years! I am dreading the summer holidays.
Anyone know the permitted site times including Saturday? Trying to way up whether it's worth leaving. Thanks.

Check the planning permission conditions for the site to see if it's covered - you'll find them on the decision notice which should be available to view online on the local council website, or phone up the planning department and ask. If there is a condition covering working hours which they are not adhering to, the council may have powers to do something about it. However in my experience, such conditions allow work to commence at 8am so it may not make a huge amount of difference.

I am in the same situation. I checked with my local council and 7.30 is the earliest they can start (Inc saturdays) so I had a word with the site manager and he agreed to push it back to 7.45 (which doesn't really make any difference tbh) but basically I didn't have a leg to stand on. Contact the council regarding the noise, they should send someone to assess the situation bit ultimately they won't be made to start any later unless there is a serious violation of noise levels. Sorry Sad

Where I've applied conditions to planning permissions (It was my job in a past life) it would usually be a Saturday morning and not at all on Sundays and bank holidays.
