Engineered oak flooring - any recces?

Sorry if this has been done recently, I couldn't find the threads. We have a large floor area we need to get flooring for - hallway, lounge and snug room - and we need engineered wood due to existing flooring. We are looking at engineered oak, not too light in colour, probably rustic, and as scratch resistant/hardwearing as possible. Can anyone advise please on decent brands/suppliers/what to look for?

Thanks in advance Smile

We've had Kahrs 3-strip oak down for 11 years in open plan kitchen/dining/living space. It's been great, it has some scratches/dents but I think that's standard for wooden floors. Very low maintenance!

We got the
City Engineered European Family Oak 180mm Brush Matt Lacquer Flooring from ukflooringdirect

for our large kitchen diner. It is fabulous. It looks great, it seems totally scratch resistant so far- it's been down nearly a year. It doesn't show the dirt at all and the wide click together planks meant it was cheaper and easier to lay. Everyone whosees it says its fab. The company was good too. Samples came quickly and the order process and delivery was simple.
We looked at lots of samples and their stuff was the best IMO.

You can get great Oak flooring from Easy Step flooring. See this link for more: www.easystepflooring.co.uk/solid-oak-wood-flooring.

I second Kahrs (cheapest place to get it is 1927 flooring company (or something like that). Our hall has been down for 8 plus years and it looks great still. My builder won't lay anything else as he says it is the most stable and hard wearing. We got the matt lacquer finish.
