Cream/Neutral paint again

I've done the usual of matchpots and different brands and ruled out Farrow & Ball because of costs though I really liked some of the colours. More or less narrowed it down to Dulux Calico or maybe Dulux Ivory Lace for the walls. For hall and Lounge and bedroom. But I was wondering if anybody had any thoughts on the colour of woodwork. Should I go white or go for a creamy colour again. And more or less decided on eggshell finish instead of gloss. Any thoughts and advice will be really appreciated. Deciding on these paint colours with all the choice is enough to drive anybody mad!

I like the look of Dulux Calico.

I would generally go for white woodwork (although not Brilliant white). It looks lighter and cleaner (creamy can just look like white that's got old) and makes the wall colour stand out more.

Unless you live in a period country house in which case maybe creamy is better. Or maybe if the room is pretty small in which case having the same colour walls and woodwork might make it look bigger.

I would use eggshell not gloss.

Oil based eggshell is more durable and better finish but water based is less likely to yellow. However there are some oil based eggshells that don't yellow which are the best of both worlds. For example Sikkens Rubbol white eggshell is really excellent - very long lasting and won't yellow. It's smelly though!

Thanks very much for your ideas. It's a flat in an older building and the rooms are quite a good size. I don't want an ultra modern look. But sort of classical but cosy if that makes sense!
