Kitchen/diner flooring - I know it's been done before but my brain is pickled!

Moving near completion of purchase on our new house that needs absolutely everything redone in it. Im totally flummoxed regarding what flooring to have in the massive 30 sq ft kitchen diner extension.
The requirements are:
Must be non slip - one toddler and one soon to be toddling
Easy to clean - baby led weaning and god the mess!
Cat proof
Warm underfoot
Not light absorbing - kitchen itself will be light (glass along back wall and two roof lights but leading off these are the darkest rooms in existence)

Thinking ofnoak (ikea anyway) units, so not sure on wood overload. I'd like this to be a bright, colourful room ideally. I don't have a fixed budget for flooring as yet, but the budget for the whole house isn't vast and considering we need to cover 30sq ft, I need to keep this keenly in mind.

So what are my options? What have you got and what works well for you? Rough idea of cost per sq foot would be great too! Help me at least discount some options to make space in my busy brain!

Karndean? We have it same as you kitchen and dining room. I love it - not cold, easy to wipe etc. It comes in loads of styles and colours.

Mrsmagnolia - I do love slate but I'm thinking it just might be too much and too dark for such a big space. Might see if we can slip in some slate elsewhere in the house or garden maybe, as it's a lovely material. Sounds like you got a good price though.

Aperolspritzer - I'm checking out karndean now. Are we talking amtico prices though?

I think my dream flooring is rubber, maybe that dalsouple stuff, but it's way too pricey. I like the one-colourless, not trying to be anything else-ness of it...

Does anyone want to talk to me about marmoleum? Does it come in non-swirly varieties?

What about Polyfloor bonded vinyl?

I say sq ft, but I mean of course sq metres . I blame this flu.

We have 30 sq metres to cover.

Spacia is amtico's basic range about half the price

Checking out polyfloor now ynk. Thanks.

Ah, is it now hatchypom! Will investigate. So bloody tricky to find prices for these thing!
