Kitchen feature wall!

We have inherited a fabulous kitchen, but it's very masculine, and I just want to make it more feminine, more warmer and more 'me!'.

Kitchen is hi-gloss black doors, dark wood oroco surface, off white tiled floor and a low tile splashback of small mosiac tiles in silver glitter, black and white!

I have chosen the colour 'Eveningwear' by crown paint:-

www.crownpaint.co.uk/colour/441/eveningwear.htm

But, am unsure where to put it. I feel it will be too dark to have it on every wall.. but, what I need help with is which wall to put it on? And, should I mix it with an off-white?

When you walk in... there's a long wall on the right.. then wooden bifold doors into garden straight infront, then kitchen cupboards on the left wall and back walls.

Which walls should I paint the strong 'Eveningwear' colour?
Thanks

Why not 'plan' it on the Ikea kitchen planner and then try different walls in different colours (& post the plans on here so we can see - I have)

I love your diagram!!

I have the far end wall a dark bright blue plus one beam thing and the rest of the walls in a very pale toning whiteish blue.

Would it be easier to make it less masculine in other ways? Ie with accessories and perhaps a mirror/paintings/prints on the wall and fresh flowers?

Am not convinced a feature wall will have the effect you want. If you love that colour then I would be brave and paint it on every wall.

not to throw a spanner into the works but their feature wall range isn't hard wearing enough to paint in a kitchen

with black gloss units I would have thought that you would want to keep the walls light otherwise the room would feel quite dark and more masculine, rather than less?

hi ladies, thanks for your advice.
i took everything you said on board, and went for a paler pink/red on the wall.. dulux's 'dusted damson'... it looks fab... and matches the teal in the lounge perfectly..
thanks mumsnet!
