Tile sizes in a small bathroom

We have a very small bathroom which has been redone. We will put tiles on two of the walls and the bath panel.

I wanted to use these Johnsons

But the tiler said he thought they were too small and could make the room look busy...

Any thoughts? I've got no clue about this sort of stuff

yeah you need bigger tiles the smaller the room is

knows as has miniscule bathroom :(

This is the conventional wisdom, however tilers hate small tiles so factor that in!
If the bathroom is very small it will look better totally tiled on all walls, perhaps in a very pale stone colour, not white with white sanitaryware.

My tiler said that big tiles were harder to tile?

For a small bathroom I would go for 300 x 300 or 450 x 450, I agree that your tiles (150 x 150) are probably too small.

If you do go for really large tiles it can result in more cut outs for pipes, etc. and wastage in a small bathroom.

I have a very small shower room, and we have just put the large rectangular white tiles all over with a single mosaic border running round to break it up.
The room actually looks bigger now which is amazing.
We've had them laid horizontally and straight (not brick style).
I too had no idea there were so many decisions to make about white tiles Confused!

I'd go for larger tiles too, simply to make the room look bigger!

I agree, the fewer grout lines on show the larger the space will look.
And I wouldnt have any borders or detail. I think tiles on all walls/all round the room looks nicer too.

A large mirror or even a mirrored wall will make the space seem bigger too, as will a pale floor.
