Floor - 'engineered' wood disaster

We bought a load of B&Q light oak engineered clip-together flooring about 4 months ago. The idea was to re-floor the conservatory when we got a chance - which is now!
It's been sitting in the conservatory 'aclimatising' since we bought it.
Yesterday, we put down a plastic damp proof membrane and thick underlay over the old chipboard floor.
Today, we've tried to put down the floor - and either we're just totally crap at flooring, or it's all just gone a little bit warped at the joins - so far we haven't managed to get one full board to clip (length wise) to another!
The smaller end joins seem to work ok but after 6 hours we can't get any of the boards to join properly lengthwise - each length is only a board and a half long.
What do you think - is warping likely?
How do we deal with it?
Is the only solution to cut off the tongues and screw the boards down individually - would this work?
Anyone else has this or have any top tips for getting the boards to click in.
We've read all the instructions, watched all the youtube guides - still can't get it to work.
At this rate we'll be buying new sheet hardboard tomorrow.

Was it stored flat? We had some laminate and the bloke fitting it told us it had to be stored flat or else it would warp.

We had it flat with all the boxes on top of each other and it looked the same at B&Q - all flat on the shelf.
All the boards seem to fit almost together but just not quite - and won't 'click' shut.
They feel as though they would break if we forced them.
We cut some small off-cuts and they click together - it seems to be a problem with anything longer.

It wouldn't surprise me if B and Q had sold you a pup, so to speak Smile. Everything I've bought from there recently has had to go back owing to faults. I would take it back if it's been stored properly - prob not what you wanted to hear but it's expensive, wood flooring, so you want to make sure it's up to the job.

BandQ won't take anything back without a receipt, they're a PITA.

Maybe it has absorbed moisture and warped ?

If you can find proof of purchase (e.g., bank statement) that should be good enough. If it's faulty goods they have to take it back or offer you a replacement, they can't just turn you away. I suppose the question si whether it's faulty or whether the warping is a result of storage.

are you using a tapping block to knock them together?

does that type need to be fed in at an angle and then pressed flat?
