I hate cold floors, would I be better off with tiles and underfloor heating in our kitchen diner?

I have underfloor heating under the Karndean in my kitchen. It is chilly when the heating is turned off, but not as chilly as tiles would be. When the heating is on (all the time at the moment) it's lovely.

I have karndean on concrete in my (rented) house. It's not too cold - but I wouldn't choose it as it is really hard underfoot. No give in at at all. (and both dcs have ended up with big lumps on their heads when they've fallen over)

What would anyone suggest instead of Karndean....we are just about to put some on top of concrete with underfloor heating?

Ooh, I was told by my fitter that you can't have uf heating with Karndean! Perhaps I will do that....

I have Amtico and it is fine on concrete.

Perhaps your fitter just doesn't have experience with Karndean and uf heating. Karndean's website says it can be used with uf heating. You might need a different fitter.
