Cream freestanding kitchen, what colour appliances?

I want cream for the cupboards as the room is fairly dark but think white appliances might clash and look cheapy next to them.
So stainless steel or effect anyway or black. Is black too much of a contrast and anyway will I be able to get a black dishwasher, fridge freezer and cooker and will they be on one hand good quality and on the other hideously expensive.

my kitchen is cream and fridge/washing machine/cooker is white it looks fine. i think black would clash personally?

Well white appliances would add light and do tend to be cheaper and more available.

Black's too fashiony. White are cheaper because they're unfashionable Definitely go for stainless steel

I've got a high gloss cream kitchen, the fridge freezer is american style and brushed steel, the oven/grill and hob are black and the dishwasher is integrated (ie there is a cupboard door at the front so you don't see it). I think it all looks fab :o and it doesn't clash. I would not have gone with white, I think it would clash but maybe it's just my particular cream colour? It's quite "dark" cream if you see what I mean.

Not White
How about trying to integrate as many as possible and use stainless steel for the others.
Black may work, it depends on the worktop.

I reckon stainless steel then. Maybe a black cooker as a bit of a statement. Don't want to try integrated because I am getting freestanding things. I know you can have integrated fronts built for appliances on freestanding units but that will add to the expense.
