Having new kitchen fitted - white gloss with oak work tops and oak upstands. Want to put a glass splashback behind Rangemaster cooker (110cm wide). It's a kitchen/family room which I want to paint a greeney grey. Any ideas for colour of the glass?

I'd probably try to get it the same colour as the walls so that it looks continuous iyswim. Is that possible?

My mum has a white kitchen with grey walls (Elephant's Breath for FB fans) and a red glass splashback

looks great

I have bright pink and I LOVE it!

Oh I feel boring now! Grin

Pink would go well as a colour, but it really depends on whether you want your splashback to be the main feature or not...

We have a white gloss kitchen and greeney grey walls (F&B Old White), grey work surfaces (corian) and are planning to get a pink glass splashback when we get round to it/can afford it. Think it will look lovely.

We have red.

My first reaction was pink but DH not too keen! Thanks for all your suggestions - and for the paint colour too.

we've just had a cream gloss kitchen put in, also with grey walls.... i'd have loved a bright coloured splashback but thought i might get tired of it, so have gone with the same colour that's on the walls but one shade darker (it's one of those dulux mix your own paints)

i visit a lot of kitchen manufacturers for work, and i love the bright pink trend right now.

I have a very dark orange colour, orange is an appetite stimulating colour, dontcha know. It looks red until the lights are on it. I have green curtains and plants and stuff, cream and white walls and doors and furniture, and some natural wood. It's retro but not too cheesy.

we have white gloss kitchen and have gone for a sage green colour splashback. It's not in yet, so am hoping it all looks ok. The walls are white, so is worktop. Splashback is our "splash" of colour!

Wait until the rest of the kitchen is in. Then get sheets of lining paper and paint them in the colours you are considering for the splashback so you can do a cheap trial run. then wait 6 years and never get round to fitting it because actually the wall is fine! Blush

I think you'll find you can't match the colour, as the glass will add a tint, and they will fade at different rates. It will look odd if it "nearly" matches. So I'd suggest something contrasting.

We have ivory gloss units with grey worktops, chose bronzed mirror glass splashback, tis beautiful....
