Has anyone used Warmer Home for loft insulation?

and were they alright? Had quote for loft insulation, boarding (so we can use for storage) and ladder fitted. Quote was alright, cheaper than alternative suggested by council energy advice people, but I just found them online so no word of mouth recommendation. We're in London.
Any recent experiences (good, bad or indifferent)?
Thanks

Their website is quite informative and it's good to see they use quilt rather than the less satisfactory blown products.

Just make sure they do not block the loft ventilation and take account of water tanks and pipes when laying insulation or fitting boards as this could give major problems in future.

thanks - i actually asked them to look at upgrading ventilation if necessary to ensure no condensation in the future, it's something they mentioned they would do.

the quote includes a jacket for the water tank, pipe insulation, but they won't board around the tank.

i try not to pick trades people at random off internet or yellow pages and always go by recommendations but haven't found anyone this way for this particular job, and this needs sorting out sooner rather than later, so we still get some benefit this winter.

ni idea, but I usually recommend people look at the website of whjoever supplies theit gas or electricity.

these utility companies usually have subsidised schemes to earn their greenie points, are not usually flybynights, and have a reputation to maintain. I got mine through BG and was very pleased.

If you are having the latest recommended thickness of 250mm insulation (ten inches) it is very difficult to board the loft since the "joists" will be buried deep below the quilt. Only easy way I know is to put down Knauf rigid foam boards with ply or chip on top (this is very expensive) . The more traditional way is to lay extra timbers at right-angles to the existing and board onto that (this is quite a lot of work).

thanks piglet, yes we're aiming to raise the joists before we board. i'd go with the gas/elec provider but i want the ladder and boarding done at the same time. the other source was the council - they recommended i look at the national isulation association website and just type in postcode to find nearest provider. so the other lot are not "endorsed" by anyone in particular they are just the closest to me who belong to the trade body..

Op- did you use warmer homes in the end? We have just ad a quote from them to insulate and board and just wanted to know if they were any good. Does anyone else have any recommendations? We are in London

Did anyone use Warmer Homes in the end? Would be good to know whether you'd recommend them for insulation/loft boads.

Bit late but I contacted this company as they were offering free cavity wall insulation and the response from them has been quite good but I read that the police raided their premises in 2019 and took away boxes of leaflets and in the past they have been acussed of pressuring older people for money.
