Nice lockable wall cabinets and some inspiration please.

We have an office space - desk, bookcase, filing cabinet - at the back of our living room. I need some lockable wall cabinets above the desk for storage but can't find any that aren't very utilitarian - ideally they would tie in with the rest of our decor, which rules out plain white. Most other wood and wood finishes would sort of go (our style is 'eclectic' Grin otherwise known as mishmash).

Also - I'd love opinions on what to do with our landing/stair wall (what do you call it?) Due to slightly odd layout of house over 2.5 floors it's really big, runs from ground floor right to the top of the house. It has been papered in a large patterned wallpaper in ivory/cream/pale blue. Everyone who has visited comments how much they like it and now it's really growing on me too - it's got a vintage-y feel. But the whole wall is completely bare and I can't work out how to put anything up that wouldn't just look ridiculously small. It could possibly take loads of miss-matched antique looking frames but that would take ages (and I may not like it when done), be expensive and you can't actually get close enough to it to look at anything. Any ideas?

PS We have moved. I need to change my username!

If you can use an electric drill and a spanner, you can fit Camlocks to any cupboard door. You can get them to fit various door thicknesses, and you can get them suited to the same key if you want (this is most convenient). They are much easier to fit than Cut Cupboard locks or even Rimlocks

Your doors will most likely be about 18mm thick

Have a look on fleabay.

For wall cabinets, see if you like any of the ones sold for kitchen units. the ones with solid wooden doors tend to be relatively expensive.
