Benchmarx Kitchens - florence and lisbon

We are doing up a victorian semi and an edwardian flat.
Today we have been looking at kitchens in benchmarx.
For the traditional semi- florence kitchen with solid wood worktop
Spacious light flat - Lisbon with fireglaze slate effect worktop
Please don't ask me to link as i don't have a clue!
Any one bought either of these kitchens?
Or indeed any reviews on benchmarx kitchens?
No price yet as they will only quote to our fitter but basically looking for 8 -12 cabinets.

Ps both properties are for the rental market so want a hard wearing kitchen that wont date.
we know they probably won't be looked after very well!
So don't want to spend a fortune.
Looking max £1,000 for each.
Wickes do takeaway kitchens for £699 for 8 cabinets and I read on here that benchmarx were cheaper.
Any reviews would be welcomed.

I've not bought a benchmarx kitchen, but i can give you an opinion?

I don't like the first one - not keen on the ridges on the door. I think they'd attract grease a dirt too. I much prefer this one www.benchmarxjoinery.co.uk/?pageId=8&hierarchy=Kitchens&category=11&subCategory=12&products=true which is still foil wrapped so hopefully still in your budget.

Not fussed on the one for the flat, but perhaps it's the image online and with a better worktop would look better?

Busy redesigning our kitchen so have looked at lots over the last few months!!!!

Benchmarx kitchens have been recommended on here before, they supply Wickes to-order range.

We have lived in various rental properties which without exception had the cheapest/oldest kitchen money could buy; sagging doors, collapsing hinges, peeling chipboard - the takeaway type kitchens are not normally made for heavy use. It's stressful to live there because you are afraid the kitchen will fall apart around you and you will lose deposit, and it's a nightmare to cook in.

If I were you I would go for Benchmarx and get a plain no-frills kitchen - the ones linked seem fine although a flat door would be easier to clean. Laminate worktop, steel sink, inexpensive but good brand of tap, don't have integrated appliances as slot in ones can be replaced easily. Don't have any fancy interior fittings or anything that could break if misused.

I bought from Benchmarx and was - still am - delighted. Put Benchmarx in the Search in this topic and you'll find me waxing lyrical.
