It is not the packing that is the issue it's the physical effort of packing the van and the unpacking the van at the other end.
Lots of things can go wrong with that, what if you are ill, or like my DH last year, broke an arm
We have always had removal people do it. We pay for the insurance at both properties just in case they put a hole in the wall of the house you are leaving.
We moved from a 3 bed house last year, had 3 Pickfords men over a 2 day period as our stuff was going into storage (couldn't get completion dates to match and would have done anything to leave the last house)
All you do when they take your stuff is hoover up as they empty each room
Trust us all, when you have packed those boxes which you could be doing now, imagine hauling them around for about 8 hours in total.
It is all the furniture and the contents of all the furniture, your garden contents, for us that was climbing frame, slide, ride on toys etc. The kitchen cabinet contents alone should be enough to make you cry.
Our 3 bed house was relatively small but we still needed 2 Pickfords trucks
