our builder is quoting 350 and not sure if that is reasonable....

That is very reasonable. We've just had our open plan kitchen/dining room plastered and it was £1,000, and it really isn't that big. Good plasterers are expensive.

Was coming on here to say £350 (Is what we've just paid x2 room.)

My dh was a plasterer for some time and I would say that's a good value. Good plastering can make or break a room. We inherited a kitchen which looks like the plastering has been done with a kitchen knife and has always looked shabby and horrible. Luckily for me oh is working on it now and it will end up looking so much better :)

I was coming in to say £350 too! just had a (soon to be) bedroom done :)

We've had the walls of 3 fairly average sized bedrooms skim plastered and each room cost us £250 (inclu VAT). We had each room done at separate times so no bulk discount. Each job took just over half day (we were charged for the full day) and the rate (in the SW) for a plasterer is approx £150 - £200 a day. Also had floor tiles laid in our bathrooms and the tiler's day rate was more or less the same. This was 2 years ago and I suspect rates may have gone down further due to less work. HTH (SW)

We had already prepped the walls with PVA so the plasterer didn't have to do any prepping before plastering so to speak. (if this makes a difference to the cost)

Has anyone any recommendations for a company specialising in replacement Ikea sofa covers? Ours is so shabby but of great sentimental value!

Can't answer your question precisely but for comparison, we just had (almost) a whole house skimmed and it came to around £3,300 ish - that's three beds, large living, dining, downstairs hallway. Kitchen and bathroom excluded as we're replacing them soon.We did have ceilings overboarded and skimmed in most cases tho. Work took 2 weeks plus an additional 2 days. We're in the south east.
