Hallway paint - anyone used Little Greene Ultimatt?

Looking for something mega hardwearing; 3 dcs and a dog. Currently got Dulux Endurance but not that impressed. Am wondering whether it's worth forking out for Little Greene or whether Crown Ultimate or Dulux Diamond Matt or similar are as good?

I've got Ultimatt but it's only been up a few weeks so a bit early to tell. Any marks so far we've rubbed off with an eraser, seems to work - but I haven't tried using a sponge etc. I must admit I doubt it's the most hard wearing paint out there.

I've seen good reports of Dulux Diamond Matt on here.

Ultimatt is less durable that Dulux Endurance in my experience.

Little Green has lovely colours, but does mark really really easily. My DH is obsessive about this and spends every weekend with his touch up brush, by this time next year he will have redecorated.

Thankyou - saved me from a very expensive mistake!

A spanner in the works from me because so far I have been really impressed with it. I hate the 'sheen' of most washables so the totally matt finish was a real plus. Has only been up a few months but is in kitchen diner and I have scrubbed tomato sauce, chocolate handprints and splashed red wine off (and thats just today! Lol) No paint seems to come off on the sponge and stuff comes off really easily. Hope I am still as impressed in 12 months....

i also like it, it's miles better than bloody F&W's allegedly wipeable paint (the 7% sheen version).

best is prob the dulux endurance though.

Sponging might be the key - I cleaned it using an e cloth - which was too much for it, the sponge was much less abrasive, thanks.

Still going for Dulux Endurance next time.

Remember that Little Greene make two emulsion paints, firstly the absolute matt which is great for ceilings or homes without kids or animals as it can go shiny when washed, and then Intelligent (formerly Ultimatt) emulsion which has polyurethane added to enable to to be washed without going shiny. So if someone says that LG emulsion went shiny when washed it was because they chose the wrong one.

I've got the Intelligent Matt from LG (a shade of white!) and it has been great so far and cleans up really well. The Intelligent Eggshell is awful though and comes off really easily. I'm going to have to repaint all the woodwork in my house with something more durable. I think that may be all eggshell finishes though.

We have the LG Ultimatt/Intelligent Matt in our kitchen, I have cleaned it up with Jif and it's stood up to that OK. Wish I had used it for the hall now. When you think of how much the decorator costs, the expensive mistake is scrimping on the paint IMO.
