Improve double glazing?

We have arranged to view a rental house tomorrow and the description states single glazing in bedrooms which put us right off.

Unfortunately there's a shortage of rental properties at the moment so we can't be picky. Is it possible to do something to single glazed windows to make them keep warmth in better?

Is there an EPC provided? That will give you a clue as to how much electricity or gas you might need to keep the house warm during the winter.

Do check the single glazing window. Does it open and close well? Are there gaps here and there and is it well-fitting? If not, there will be lots of drafts and cold air coming into your rooms during winter, and its going to get expensive keeping it warm. It might not sound like a big problem now in the summer, but 5 months of £100 extra on your heating bill during the winter is a whopping £500 cash just disappearing into thin air.

Dahokolomi, I suppose you mean the energy efficiency rating by EPC? It has but doesn't tell me much. Current rating is 63 (D) and the potential is 71 (C). Is that good or bad?
