pre-primed/wooden doors - can anybody help?

I live in a Victorian house and want to replace the doors in my house (12 in total).

Eventually I want them to be painted so am after either pre-primed doors or unpainted ones that i can prime and paint.

Unfortunately many of the door frames in my house don't seem to fit the usual 30inch width that many of the pre-primed doors are sold in. Some are c.a 27inch and others are more 31inches.

Does anybody know where they sell these doors in different widths, preferably in inch increments?

Wickes seem to do lots of wooden doors with different widths. Have a look at their online store.

Yeh I've looked at Wickes already, but unfortunately you can't get the same door in different widths so I'd have to get lots of different doors which I don't think would look right :(

Their Geneva Oak Veneer door comes in 24", 27, 30 and 33 inch widths.

Couldn't you have the existing doors diped and striped back? Might be simpler

I've considered that - and have even done a couple, but the existing doors really are very poor quality. Holes all over them, some have massive notches cut out, bit of wood peeling off, poor grain quality, knots of wood falling out. They are really starting to get me down!

Ah thanks chitchatting, ideally I'm after the four panelled victorian style doors though

We have had some from Howdens.Basically if you have to have special sizes made it is really expensive. We also have an old house and have decided to just stick mainly with the ones we have and paint them.Alternatively try and source some old ones ,either at a reclamation yard or via ebay.A carpenter or painter might be able to give you some decent advice on painting and restoration, or cutting down to size.
