Bought our superking many years ago from Taurus Pine seemed fairly reasonable - certainly cheaper than Bensons and warren evans and other places we looked at.

Warren Evans online are good, brilliant service and great quality and good sales.

And So To Bed or John Lewis

Friends of mine. Nice people. Bed Warehouse

tk maxx good for nice but cheap superking bedding. Actually it is often in sales. We went for an ikea frame here with two singles and a mattress topper. Two singles lead to less disturbance from the other side of the bed!

stinkypinky · 22/04/2011 11:09

Ikea - we have a fab one, and bought a memory foam topper off Ideal World. Heaven!

Ooh all v helpful. Thank you so much.

we will be getting a superking bed from these people.

www.factory-beds-direct.co.uk

I have done a lot of research into it, not only read all their info about beds but also other sources (have been bed bound for a while and had a lot of time to research)

They work direct with the manufacturer, no sales gimmicks, just nicely priced beds.

kreecherlivesupstairs · 26/04/2011 10:53

Ours came from Ikea too. We don't have a mattress topper, that way I know when DH is creeping over to my side of the bed.
Same with DD, she tends to slip in with me when DH is away. She knows not to come over the crack.

kreecherlivesupstairs · 26/04/2011 10:54

Oh, and two single duvets are the way to night time bliss.

Do NOT get a bed from And So To Bed. We bought one from there roughly 18 months ago and it is already falling apart. They aren't interested in helping us, have just smugly told us that it is a 12 month warranty so they don't have to do anything, and now are "unavailable" when we call. Apparently they supplied us with an old frame rather than the one they currently use, so we can't even get spare parts.

Based on our experience, And So To Bed are very poor quality, with terrible customer service.

lisianthus · 25/05/2011 08:13

We bought it for the same reason you are buying yours. :( Get a bed that you know will be safe and won't fall apart.

I have just got rid of the second IKEA bed from my rental. they were assembled as instructions and I now buy the best beds I can afford. T K Maxx great for super king bedding bargains.

I would recommend you source the mattress seperate, last thing you want is to invest in the whole bed because it looks nice to have a rubbish mattress. I would always go to an indepentant bed store and try the different mattresses and then buy the base. I bought my huge sleigh leather base with the money from our wedding and then purchased the mattress.

I cant stand these chain stores, making out things are half price, my mattress came within a week.

I buy my bedding from: www.justlinen.co.uk/dorma.asp

you can pick up top notch bedding at half price so spending less than £100 on the whole set. Always impressed with them.
