Corporate tenants - anyone rents to one?

Would imagine that there might be a bit more security of rent with corporate tenants. How would I go about finding one if I'm not using agents?

If you live in SW London you will be constantly inundated with letters from EAs with huge numbers of corporate tenants/buyers all desperate, apparently, to rent/buy your home at an inflated price... Hmm

FYI, ime corporate tenants usually want a VERY high standard of flat so keep that in mind when considering renting.

TBH, think it is unlikely you'd get a corporate tenant in any way other than through an agent - unless you have an established relationship with a corporation who relocates and/or leases flats.

Am thinking of cold calling a few companies.

Have you got internal/external photos of the flat (or house)? Do you have a list and/or description of the amenities/features? A drawing of the floor plan, with room dimensions?

These are all things you'd need to be able to send anyone considering the flat as a possibility - especially if you are cold calling, so that they'd take you seriously.

You could ask local agents if they ahve or ever get corporate clients and phone major companies in your area. Have done a corporate let for three years a few years back -the company had approached agents just as I was about to put flat on the rental market - I had tried phoning big companies the week before to cut out the agent but perhaps they prefer to do it this way.

I had to get a slightly different contract than an AST for the corporate let and they wanted bills inclusive and to pay rent in arrears with an invoice - so there was some more admin to do. I managed the flat so only paid the agent a finders fee.

Earlybird, these are things that I could put together quickly - I'm anal and kept this kind of info from when we purchased house.

Haggis, did you find your corporate tenant to be very demanding?

Tenant not demanding at all - wanted extra security on door lock when moved in (female for1 year and then a guy for 2) that was it. The flat had just been refurbed so everything was new though.
