Just viewing property porn and a flat seems to have made its way into the search, but what on earth is an internal balcony?

BrilliantDisguise · 26/03/2011 22:07

I would have thought that an internal balcony is one that does not stick out from the main wall of the house. That a section of the room, is partitioned off and so is a balcony. If you look up the front of the buidling. it will all look flush ( no sticking out balconies) but if you look facing it, you will see that what looks like awindowhole has no window but is just fresh air, and the real window is set back a metre or two so that there is an external area in the flat. I know what I mean - hope this makes some sense.

Is it UK? If not (Spain, for instance) it could be a balcony turned inwards to an internal building area (so no view, just the other walls of the building).
